Variety and potential variations for almond preparations are almost unlimited. The almonds are available chopped, slivered, ground, as whole and half almonds, blanched and unblanched, roasted and unroasted almonds and you can also choose from various sizes and thicknesses of cut.

Moll Marzipan mostly uses hazelnuts from the hazelnut region of Turkey and Georgia. Moll has been working very closely with quality manufacturers here for many years. The hazelnut preparations are produced according to IFS and BRC standards at Moll in Berlin. Hazelnuts are probably the best known nuts and are widely used in the confectionery industry, in the bakery sector, in the ice cream industry, in cereal products and also in the home kitchen as a baking ingredient and decor.

Walnut preparations

Only the real walnut (Juglans regia) is processed at Moll. Different origins (e.g. France, Eastern Europe, China or California) are available. In order to obtain perfect-looking walnut halves, they must be cracked open by hand. A great variety of sizes are also available as preparations.

Pistachio nuts are mainly grown in Iran, Turkey and the USA. The qualities differ depending on the time of picking in taste and color intensity. Areas of application for pistachio preparations, which are very popular because of their green color, are primarily in the confectionery industry, in baked goods, in ice cream and in meat and sausage products (e.g. Mortadella).

Cashew nuts are mainly grown in Asia and West Africa and their nutty, sweet flavour is gaining in popularity all over the world. Preparations in highest demand are those from roasted cashew nuts, not least also due to the rather attractive raw material prices.

Macadamias are often referred to as „the queen of nuts”. This tasty nut is originally from Australia and was named after the scientist John „MacAdam” (1827 - 1865). Today macadamias are also grown in Hawaii, South Africa and Kenya. Moll offers macadamias in many desired sizes and specifications.

Botanically, pecans are similar to walnuts, but differ in their shape and especially their mild taste. Pecans are mainly grown in the USA and Mexico and are also becoming increasingly popular in Europe as a snack product or as a preparation for the confectionery and ice cream industry.

Coconut preparations

Strictly speaking, coconuts are not nuts but stone fruits of the tropical coconut palm. The dried pulp of the coconut serves as the starting product for many interesting product ideas. The coconut is native to countries such as Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. Coconut flakes can be offered in fine and medium and also as light crocant.
